Fishers Peak State Park Full Tour 2022
Fishers Peak State Park is 20,000 acres of untouched terrain being developed over the next few years into 70+ miles of trail. This first taste gets you close to the peak with a incredible views. Rock outcroppings, deep pine woods, scrub oak, and desert terrain all await. Oh, and you'll get to finish with a few miles of MTB-only downhill trail stacked with fun features including tech rock sections, flowy berms, and tabletop jumps.
Poison Canyon Downhill MTB loop
The first MTB-only downhill trail in Fishers Peak State Park offers a short but fun mix of tech, flow, berms, and jumps.
Triple Creek Cuchara Tour
With multiple stream crossings and deep woods, this is an adventure with few other trail users. Epic views of the Spanish Peaks and Cuchara Valley throughout. Some of the very best mountain biking in the region.
Sugarite State Park
Sugarite State Park is just over thirty minutes from Trinidad and offers solid mountain biking, particularly the Opportunity Trail. This 17 mile circuit tours the entire park and finishes with two long descents.
Reilly Canyon
Not for the faint of heart, Reilly Canyon offers technical cross-country style mountain biking in the form of a 4.5 mile out and back along the bluffs above the northern edge of Trinidad Lake State Park.
Wormhole Trails
There are many ways to ride the Wormhole and new spur trails just appear sometimes. We recommend at least two laps and if you feel like you need some extra climbing, at the end of Crossbed Way (the trail going south from the parking lot), you can climb the gravel road to the top of Simpson’s Rest and the iconic Trinidad sign.
